Best Recipes for Weight Loss Smoothies
Easy diet smoothie recipes are at your fingertips here! With Hallowe’en in our rear view mirror, in many parts of the world the “holiday party” season has kicked off. As you throw away the last of the candy wrappers, you may look in the mirror and think: “wow there is the first pound gained!” More is to come as you look forward to this year where you can visit family and friends.
But that said, you don’t have to wait until the new year to start a smoothie diet. Springtime before the summer bathing suit season is another good time!
Various reports that we have looked at say that on average, we will gain anywhere from 3 to 10 pounds over the holiday season. And what’s worse? Most of these studies found that many people will NEVER lose the weight gained, which over the years compounds!
Think about it – what will happen to your body this holiday season? And if you could do everything you can to avoid gaining weight, how would you accomplish that.
A little aside here, I came from a very large family of over 20 in the immediate family. In Canada, Thanksgiving is in early October and then with birthdays and holidays, we would be celebrating right until January 2nd. Studies show that most o these celebratory meals are over 3,000+ calories. I know many in my family would say: “Well, we will get fit in the new year!” We all know that is not true.
So how can you, me, everyone keep this from becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy this year!

1. DON”T Skip Meals on Party Days
In today’s diverse society, you are going to be presented at tons of delicious foods and drinks at the various functions you are going to attend. Many of the choices will probably not fall into the healthy choice category. BUT they are sooo delicious!
Here’s the trick: don’t deprive yourself from sampling these tasty treats. Enjoy! Just use portion control. Don’t randomly graze across all the items at the buffet table. 3. Green Smoothie Meal Replacements
During this time of year (or any time), you need to help your body rebalance itself by eating healthy between your get togethers! You should eat several servings of fruits and vegetables daily to help your system clear out the overabundance of fats, sugars, processed foods and empty calories you are taking in during the holidays. Green Smoothies are a great way to get your daily servings of fruits and veggies. These will help you to feel full. Replace at least one meal a day with a green smoothie.
4. Move Your Body

Are smoothies good for a diet? My answer is yes if you plan out a well-balanced diet whether you choose smoothies as a multi-meal replacement or just once a day meal replacement. There will be benefits.
5. Do A Quick Detox Between Celebrations
Along with scheduling your exercise days, look at scheduling a few detox days in between festivities to help your body clear out the excess. Green smoothies make tasty and easy detox drinks that are great for cleansing the body of excess without leaving you feeling deprived of flavour. During the holiday season, detoxing the day or two after the party goes a long way to helping your body reset. Then in January, you should do a longer detox to clear and reset your body and diet.
